Founding Arts Organizations

The Arts Center is home to a dozen cultural organizations. These 501(C)(3), non-profit organizations are governed by their own elected Board of Directors and operate independently of the Arts Center. Each organization sets its own programs and policies.  Collectively they produce a wide range of art activities, and as Founding Organizations (resident arts groups), have access to a variety of services and benefits through the Irving Arts Board.  

Academy of Bangla Arts and Culture (ABAC)
ABAC encourages participation in cultural, artistic and academic events by individuals and groups. The organization fosters the exchange of ideas, and creates an environment conducive to learning and intellectual growth.
Entertainment Series of Irving 
Entertainment Series began bringing nationally- and internationally-recognized performers to Irving in 1956. Their offerings feature a wide variety of affordable entertainment including big band jazz, musical revues and dance performances.
Irving Black Arts Council (IBAC)
IBAC promotes and showcases African American artistic talent through art exhibitions, concerts, poetry readings, theatrical productions and youth programs. Their mission is to encourage cultural enrichment for individuals and families.
Irving Chorale
Irving Chorale is a community chorus of singers from Irving and the surrounding areas. The membership of more than 60 voices is dedicated to attaining the highest standards of choral performance of the greatest music in the choral repertoire.
 
ICT MainStage
ICT MainStage provides high quality, theatrical entertainment at an affordable price. ICT also provides opportunities for involvement by the community in all areas of theatrical production through open auditions, mentoring, special project support and classes.
Irving Art Association (IAA)
Established in 1956, IAA is one of the oldest cultural organizations in the city. The organization is committed to supporting year round art appreciation and educational opportunities. The schedule includes more than 20 curated exhibitions, professional demonstrations and workshops.
Irving Symphonic Band (ISB)
In its 21st season, ISB provides quality music for concert-goers and a musical outlet for its members under the baton of Jay Bach. The band has hosted such distinguished guests as David Holsinger, Francis McBeth, Dr. Alfred Green and Captain Lewis J. Buckley.
Enviso, symphony you can see 
Enviso (formerly Irving Symphony Orchestra) is a different symphony for a different audience . . . a distinctive professional boutique symphony making new waves in North Texas. Anchored by a sound and notable past, Enviso is on the path to becoming an 'original,' producing music experiences with a social conscience.
Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra (LCSO)
LCSO's mission is to enhance the quality of life in local communities by inspiring and entertaining. Their concerts offer superior cultural and educational value. The ensemble's 9o plus musicians are chosen by competitive auditions from more than 400 applicants each year.
Lyric Stage
Lyric Stage is Dallas County's only locally-produced, professional musical theater company. Under founding producer Steven Jones' leadership it has become North Texas' most honored theater, winning 35 Dallas Theatre League Leon Rabin Awards and a special citation from the Dallas Theater Critics Forum for excellence and innovation.
Momentum Dance Company
Founded in 1998 by Jacquelyn Ralls Forcher as a venue for advanced to professional ballet dancers, Momentum Dance Company is Irving's only ballet company. Their annual presentation of the Nutcracker is a beloved event.

New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving (NPOI)
NPOI is a full-size community orchestra comprised of musicians from Irving and surrounding areas. Through involvement in local service projects, the orchestra enriches the cultural life of the community it serves.
