Can I have my wedding at the Irving Arts Center? Yes, you can! We have a variety of spaces including Suite 200, the Main Gallery, and the Sculpture Garden. All these venues are available for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The entire Arts Center is available, unless previously scheduled.
Are caterers allowed? Clients are free to arrange for their own catering at private events. The Arts Center has a kitchen facility with refrigerator and freezer space, an ice machine, and a preparation and clean-up area. There are no ovens or warmers available on site.
Do you decorate for our wedding? No, we do not. Clients can decorate as long as there is no damage to the facility and existing artwork is not removed or covered.
Do you have tables and chairs available? Yes, we do. We rent 60" round, 48" round, and 8' x13'' oblong tables, as well as fold-out chairs, all available for rental.
Are candles allowed? Yes, provided they are covered by a glass hurricane shade and the glass exceeds the height of the flame by a few inches.
What are the rates for theaters and reception halls? The rate depends on the venue and the activity.
How long can I rent the Theaters or Suite 200? Facilities used for receptions and performances have a four hour minimum rental requirement.
When are deposits due? Deposits are due 10 days from the time space is booked. Deposits are refunded 15 working days after the event and may not be applied to the contract balance.
How far in advance can I book the facility? The facility may be booked two years in advance.
When is the contract payment due? 15 working days prior to event.
Do you accept credit cards? Yes, we accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover.
Are the theaters fully equipped? Yes, the rental of the theaters includes soft goods, sound and lighting equipment, musical instruments, platforms, stair units and fog machines. Other items may be available if needed. Both theaters have orchestra pits. Each theater also has elevators for serving the house and orchestra pits.
Is there meeting space available? Yes, we have space available for 15 to 700 people.
Do you have audio/visual equipment? We have slide projectors and screens. The Center does not provide front or rear screen projection equipment.
Where is the Irving Arts Center located? We are on MacArthur Blvd., one mile north of Highway 183 on the left. The location is 20 minutes from DFW Airport and 30 minutes from Love Field Airport.
