Adina Cicort is an artist with a multicultural personality living in the United States. Born in 1978 in Bucharest Romania, she expressed an interest in arts, history and philosophy from an early age. Speaking several languages she was able to communicate with people from other countries which contributed to her study of understanding about life and our planet as a whole.

Traveling in the Romanian country side from the Black Sea Coast to the Carpathian Mountains she discovered her true calling to create. She defined her artistic vision under the influence of a famous Romanian artist Daniel Petru Ionescu and other European artists and continued her art journey in the United States. Although she paints from the age of three, years later, living with her husband in America, she found the right moment and place to dedicate her life entirely to ART.

A high spirituality is revealed in subjects such as: history of civilizations and religions, symbolism, nature, countries, architecture, rituals and traditions. Abstract, abstract expressionism and folk art styles and mediums such as: oil, acrylic, pastel, charcoal and ink are her favorites. Adina creates as well illustrations and graphic design for advertising industry.

Artist's statement:

"I believe in the power of art as therapy and a form of communication thus believe the existence is a journey trough the power of mind, into a universe of energies, colors, sounds and forms. The Art creates the big puzzle.

My artworks are the expression of my feelings, memories and genetic code inherited from my ancestors. They were simple people from the plains of Walachia and the mountains of Transylvania and Moldavia for whom art was a lifestyle, a joy and a celebration of life and God."
