Enter the macro-botanical world of ABSURDITY and AWE. Irwin Lightstone and Radiant Images Photography invite you to take a closer more considered look at some of nature's tiny treasures. Using cutting edge digital technology, Irwin may merge as many as 100 nearly identical images, each with a different point of focus, creating final prints with unsurpassed clarity of detail, depth and texture. Most of the plants were raised by Irwin and range from exotic orchids, otherworldly succulents, spiny cacti, and the rarely red mahonia. With his command of lighting, intimate knowledge of his subject, and prodigious technique, Irwin’s work reveals the mystery and wonder of a world not otherwise seen.

Irwin is the president of the North Texas Cactus and Succulent Society, past president of the Texas Association of Cactus and Succulent Societies, and a Vice President of the Fort Worth Cactus and Succulent Society. He was a longtime member and past president of the Ungar Photography Club and a member of the Plano Photography Club. Recently he presented programs about macro photography in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Waco, Fort Worth, Plano, Kerrville, McKinney and Dallas. He also led programs and workshops sponsored by the Dallas Museum of Art, the Dallas Arboretum, and the International Photography Hall of Fame. Irwin’s photography was published in the last two issues of the Cactus and Succulent Journal.
