In 1995, I saw a photograph scanned into a computer and realized I could blend my mathematical brain with my love for the creative. What an awakening. My only problem is having to share this new found tool with Stan, my husband, who is as in love with this media as I. I am a member of TVAA, DMA, DVAC, Plano Art Association, and I recently have joined the Irving Art Association. Some of my works have hung in such exhibitions as the Richardson Fine Arts Society, Richardson Photography Show, Navarro Annual National Juried Exhibition, TVAA Citation, TVAA Membership Show, TVAA Regional Juried Exhibition, DVAC Membership Show, Plano Art Annual Exhibition, the University of Mobile, Alabama Juried Exhibition, Rio Brazo Art Festival, Granbury, Texas, National Association of Pen Women (Best of Show), the Arlington Museum of Art, and Southwest Teleproduction Co. This year I have reached Signature status in TVAA. I enjoy creating art as a pictorialist - using beautiful colors and photographs to weave vibrant images, and have been influenced by the colors of the great Impressionist painters Cezanne, Monet, Matisse and others. The last two years I have spent most of my time perfecting a new technique that I am very excited about - a procedure to blend many generations of a family into one collage. The resulting picture can be of five or six generations or as many as you desire and have the snapshots to scan. I am excited about the future and each new computer challenge. |
