I am primarily a self-taught artist and have been studying since my teen years. In the 1980's I began to do work that is my own and want to share that experience with others.

I try to work "automatically" just smear the paint on and see what develops. Finding the image is a key form of my creativeness and once I find it, the paints success lies in its power to my spirit and to move the spirit of others.

Each work seems to have its own direction, its own power, and its own problems. What I use to make one work successful seems useless on another.

My work has been exhibited in 21 museum and juried exhibition and a solo exhibit at the Irving Arts Center.
