Based on an adaptation from the autobiography of Cynthia Reid Wills, Content of Character: The Diary of a Young Black Girl tells the story of a young black girl coming of age in the 1960s, who has been selected to integrate a white school in Sparkle City, South Carolina. Presented by the Irving Black Arts Council, the film will make its world premiere at Irving Arts Center on January 28.
