I picked up my first camera in the early 1970¹s to pass the time. The hobby became a career and before I knew it, 30+ years had passed.

Although I still shoot commercial work to make a living, my focus is slowly moving to fine art/documentary photography. The subject matter of this work falls into two categories, people and places. The people I photograph are people I meet that I find both visually and personally interesting. The places I photograph are generally desolate and empty, like much of west Texas. My primary focus, over the last six years, has been Big Bend. I make an effort to visit this incredible park a couple of times each year. A monochromatic environment for the most part, it affords me a wonderful place to create highly modified black and white images of a stark world that most never experience.
