20th Annual Art Connection Members’ Show  (Online)

Deadline for entries: August 16

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Members’ Show has transitioned to an online exhibition.

This annual non-juried exhibition is open to all current Art Connection members who wish to participate. New members may join and pay dues at the time of entering their artwork.

The entry fee is $5 per work and artists may submit up to two pieces. Eligible entries will be judged for cash awards in three categories: Youth, Non-Professional and Professional. An overall “Best of Show” prize will also be awarded.

2020 Theme/Design Challenge (Optional):  “Signs of the Times”
Participating members are invited to create artwork that reflects on the unprecedented and challenging times we are living in — the COVID-19 pandemic, ongoing protests against systemic racism, societal and economic uncertainty and other related issues are some topics members may wish to address. Special prizes will be awarded to members who choose to compete in this category.

The exhibition will be published online and award winners announced on August 30.

35th Annual Texas & Neighbors Regional Art Exhibition

Deadline for entry: March 1, 2020

Co-sponsored by the Irving Art Association and Irving Arts Center, the five-state competition includes Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The 35th installment will be juried by Kristin Rivas, Director, Samuel Lynne Galleries. $9,000 in prizes.

Exhibition Dates: May 17-June 13.
Award Ceremony and Reception: May 17, 2-5 p.m.

19th Annual Art Connection Members Show

Deadline for Entry: July 20-21*
*Hand-deliveries of art work accepted on Saturday, July 20 from 12-5 PM and on Sunday July 21 from 1-5 PM.
