Galleries are free and open to the public Tues.-Sat. noon to 5 pm
A new exhibition featuring paintings, sculpture and mixed media works by Texas artists Marilyn Jolly and Larry Graeber will be on display May 9 through June 6 in the Main Gallery at Irving Arts Center.
“Molly and Larry both have an affinity for found and salvaged materials and an interest in the poetry and resonance those materials suggest,” says Marcie Inman, Curator/Director of Exhibitions & Educational Programs at Irving Arts Center. “We are excited to showcase work by two accomplished artists whose mixed media works explore the boundaries and expectations of sculpture and painting.”
Seen side-by-side, the creations of Marilyn Jolly and Larry Graeber engage in a lively conversation about materials, processes, individual artistic practices, and life perspectives.
An artist reception on May 9 from 5-7PM invites guests to meet the artists and celebrate their work. The event is free for all ages.
