The Artistry of Jazz with Violinist Scott Tixier presented by Irving Symphony Orchestra

In this, the Irving Symphony Orchestra’s first concert of the New Year, the highly-accredited ISO/SMU composer-in-residence program will once again highlight a new orchestral piece by a young composer. Furthermore, world-renowned jazz violinist and UNT faculty professor Scott Tixier, will offer some of his outstanding compositions for jazz violin and orchestra. The concert will conclude with the magnificent Symphony No. 1 by German composer Johannes Brahms.
