Learn how to make a simple shaker with things you can find at home with talented performer, percussionist and arts educator, Len Barnett and Cathy Whiteman, an accomplished actress, singer and award-winning producer for the Irving Community Television Network.

Watch the video and join them for in a fun jam session that goes from jamboree to full-on HAM-boree!

Lunch & Learn!

It’s FREE to get art smart! Lunch & Learn at Irving Arts Center has gone virtual! Every Tuesday from 12-1:30 pm, an informal adult education program meets weekly on Zoom to discuss art topics that tie into current exhibitions at Irving Arts Center galleries. Videos, lectures, peer presentations and guest speakers are some of the activities offered.

Virtual Gallery Tours, Exhibits & Stories

35TH ANNUAL TEXAS & NEIGHBORS REGIONAL ART COMPETITION

Co-sponsored by the Irving Art Association and Irving Arts Center, the five-state competition includes Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The 35th installment was moved to a virtual exhibition this year, and included the introduction of two new categories: Photography and Sculpture. Juror Kristin Rivas, Director, Samuel Lynne Galleries selected 85 works of art from a record 883 entries submitted by 326 artists residing in the five eligible states.
