Cultural Currency Exhibit Reception
Celebrate the opening of Cultural Currency: Contemporary Art from the Riemer Collection (on view in the Main Gallery through Nov.14) with a FREE afternoon of art, creativity and fun for all ages! Explore the exhibit and discover how artists transform real currency from around the globe into collage, assemblage, paintings and sculptures that challenge what we value.
Schedule of Activities
1–4 p.m. | Exhibit Reception & Second Sunday Funday Art-making:
Unleash your creativity with a Mixed Media Mash Up, experimenting with collage and mixed media using a variety of materials to create inspired by our Cultural Currency exhibit.
2 p.m. | Docent-Led Tour:
Join us for a free guided tour of the exhibit.
Come curious, bring your creativity, and make a Sunday of it! Free admission. All ages are welcome.
Gallery Hours: Tues-Sat from noon to 5PM
Irving Arts Center’s galleries are open for viewing free of charge during regular gallery hours Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 PM.
