26th Annual Art Connection Members’ Show

● Artwork Drop Off: June 13-14 (pieces must be registered online prior to drop off)

● Exhibit dates: June 20 – August 1, 2026

● Reception & Awards Ceremony: Sunday, June 21, 2 – 4 p.m.

● Artwork pickup: August 2, 2 – 4 p.m.

About Irving Arts Center

Irving Arts Center (IAC) combines family entertainment and cultural events with a convenient location in the center of Dallas/Fort Worth. The Arts Center boasts two fully equipped theaters, five galleries, meeting and classroom facilities and a beautiful outdoor sculpture garden on a ten-acre site. Art Connection is the IAC’s membership program for the visual arts. Members can join at a variety of levels, including a dual membership with the Smithsonian Affiliations program. About the Art Connection Members’ Exhibition

This annual, non-juried exhibition is open to all current members who wish to participate. The entry fee is $10 per work, and artists may submit up to two pieces. Eligible entries will be judged for cash awards in three categories: Youth, Non-Professional and Professional. An overall “Best of Show” prize will also be awarded.

Exhibition History and Background:
Since 2001, each summer Irving Arts Center has held a non-juried exhibition featuring art created by our Art Connection members. During this show, artwork by students and professional and non-professional artists hangs side by side in the beautiful Main Gallery and the adjoining Focus Gallery. Existing and new Art Connection members are invited to submit up to two works of art. Awards will be given in three categories (Youth, Nonprofessional and Professional) as well as an overall Best of Show.

Texas & Neighbors Regional Art Exhibition

ABOUT
The Texas & Neighbors Exhibition is an annual collaboration between the Irving Art Association and Irving Arts Center. In 2022 we are celebrating its 37th year.
 Artists from Texas and neighboring states (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma) are invited to compete

 

JUROR
The Juror for 2022 is Billy Hassell, a Texas artist based in Fort Worth, renowned for his oil paintings, watercolor and lithographs.  Referred to as “Mother Nature’s stylist” by The New York Times, Hassell is renowned for his ability to capture, through his art, the natural beauty of the world around him.

AWARDS/CATEGORIES
The Texas & Neighbors Regional Art Exhibition offers $9,000 in awards! This year the competition will have an additional awards category Printmaking, for a total of eight media categories. The scope of the MIxed Media and Sculpture categories has also been expanded.
