ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Rooted in the rhythms of the natural world, this exhibition draws from the enigmatic beauty of sea anemones, creatures that blur the line between flower and predator. Through vivid color and intricate pattern, each piece explores the emotional terrain of human connection and the delicate balance between what is seen and what is felt.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Giselle Castro-Brightenburg is a Dallas-based artist whose vibrant paintings are deeply inspired by the natural world. She holds a BA from the University of Dallas and an MA in aesthetics from the University of Texas at Dallas. Over the years, Giselle’s work has been showcased in several exhibitions, including a solo show at the Irving Arts Center, as well a solo exhibition at Brookhaven College and the Longview Museum of Art, where one of her pieces remains part of the museum’s collection.
After building a career as the digital media manager at the Dallas Museum of Art and dedicating time to raising a family, art became less central to her life for a period. However, her passion for painting reignited recently, leading her to complete over 40 new works within the past year. Giselle’s work is also held in several private collections, and she continues to explore her artistic practice from her studio at the Art on Main gallery in Dallas.
