JumpstART Stories & Art: Picnic for Teddy Bears

Join us the first Thursday of each month, at 10am at Irving Arts Center for stories and art!

Explore new stories and fun art projects during this creative story time that combines art and children’s literature. Create a take-home art project and then browse the galleries with your kids as part of this fun AND FREE morning activity.

Ages 2 and up. All supplies provided.

JumpstART is a collaboration between the Irving Arts Center and the Irving Public Library.

THEMES

June 5– Happy Campers!
Join us around the “campfire” for tales about adventure and fun – indoors and out!

July 10* – Picnic Time for Teddy Bears!
Let’s celebrate Teddy Bear Picnic Day! We’ll read teddy bear stories, sing songs and make a fun, teddy bear-themed craft.

August 7 – Dog Days of Summer!
Beat the heat with stories & art inspired by our cool canine friends!

September 4 – Hats off to Fall!
September is National Hat Month. Let’s celebrate the changing of the seasons with a tribute to this most functional & fashionable of accessories. After story time, we’ll get creative and decorate our own headwear!
