ABOUT THE ARTIST
An accomplished Sculptor, Kat Warwick grew up in Garland and received her BFA in Denton. She is a well rounded professional artist, currently working in the discipline of sculpture as well as teaching stone carving and managing the stone sculpture department at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas. She has been creating commissioned works of art for over 25 years. Several of her sculpted works are located in and around Fair Park, where the State Fair of Texas is held each year. One of her pieces, Spirit of Truth, can also be found in the sculpture garden at Irving Arts Center. Composed of stone, steel and river rock, it was installed in 2022 by the Dupree Theater entrance. In October of 2025, Kat joined Irving Arts Center for an activation on Main Street in downtown Irving where she worked with attendees on a sculpture project.
