APRIL 7 @ 7:30 p.m.
Ethereal voices, beautiful ball gowns and…comedy? Yes! This group of crossover singing sensations blends powerhouse vocals with humor as they sing operatic classics, original material and pop songs, like Sia’s “Bird Set Free;” Adele’s “Hello;” and Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game.”
Hailing from Canada, ViVA Trio is comprised of three sopranos: Anna Bateman, Erin Fisher and Katya Tchoubar. Inspired by pop artists including Il Divo, Adele and Evanescence, ViVa Trio is an unstoppable force. They’ll wow you with their powerful voices in full majesty and surprise you with their comedic charm in Je veux vivre, an opera classic.
With the release of their debut album: Nothing Else Matters, recorded live with a 52-piece orchestra, ViVA Trio has become one of the most exciting and innovative emerging acts drawing widespread critical acclaim. American Classical Crossover Magazine called their album “unique, compelling and refreshing,” while Eric Alper of Sirius XM’s Canada Talks called the album “thrilling, cinematic and intriguing.”
Their latest release, an original composition entitled “Siren Song” features ViVA’s stunning vocals and symphonic base with electronic elements and effects. The single hints at an exciting new direction for the group with their next album set for release in the coming year.
No matter which direction they lean, or which genre they dip into song to song, performing live is where this group truly excels. As GoodLife Magazine said in a recent publication: “With their full-blown arrangements, anthemic choruses, and elegant ball gowns, when ViVA Trio hits the stage live, it’s a show!”
Certainly, it’s a show you don’t want to miss as they make their Irving, Texas debut one night only, Thursday, April 7.
