Plan Your Visit to Irving Arts Center

A hub for Art, Performance, and Culture in the heart of Dallas-Fort Worth

Irving Arts Center is a Smithsonian-affiliated visual and performing arts facility located in the heart of Dallas / Fort Worth. The 10-acre complex features two fully-equipped theaters; five galleries with rotating exhibitions; meeting, classroom, reception and rehearsal facilities; and a verdant sculpture garden. The galleries are free to view and open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5pm.

 

Location, Location, Location!

No matter where your journey begins, Irving Arts Center’s stages and galleries are conveniently nestled in the heart of Dallas and Ft. Worth. Our central location is close to the DART Orange Line, between Highway 114 & 183 (MacArthur Blvd. exit.) The Center is 15 minutes from both D/FW International Airport and Love Field.

Accessibility 

Our goal is to provide a comfortable experience for all patrons. The facilities at Irving Arts Center are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Each theater is equipped with accessible seating and hearing assist devices. To access a device, of for any additional accessibility questions, please call our Box Office at (972) 252-2787 (ARTS).

Pets and Service Animals

The City of Irving has a no pets allowed policy inside city buildings. Any trained service animal is welcome.

Parking

Parking is always free! For your convenience, Irving Arts Center offers three parking lots:

  • South Lot: Most convenient to Dupree Theater entrance
  • North Lot: Most convenient to Carpenter Hall entrance
  • Villages on MacArthur Lot: Overflow parking adjacent on the north side available after 5pm

What to See and Do?

  The City of Irving’s Department of Arts & Culture (IDAC) oversees a vast array of entertainment amenities, museums and historic sites. They include the Smithsonian-affiliated Irving Arts Center, Irving Archives & Museum, The Mustangs of Las Colinas Museum and Visitors Center, the Ruth Paine House Museum, and Jackie Townsell Bear Creek Heritage Center.  All are located within the city limits of Irving, Texas, a short drive apart. So make a day of it and visit multiple arts and cultural destinations!
