Camps for Ages 11-14

Tween & Teen Scene Camp #1: Sew Sweet!
June 15-19, 2026, M-F, 10AM-3PM
Enrollment Fees: Tuition is $225 (art supplies included!)
Ages: 11-14
Camp Capacity: 15 Students per class
Designing a handcrafted tote bag and creating paintings of tasty treats are on the menu for this week!
Tote-ally Handmade (M-F, 10AM-12PM)
Campers will make custom-designed, personalized tote bags in this fun fiber arts class. Starting from scratch, they’ll print their own patterns on fabric and then hand-sew their bags creating a cute and functional carryall.

More than Eye Candy: The Art of Wayne Thiebaud (M-F, 1PM-3PM)
Students will explore the artwork of American artist, Wayne Thiebaud and create paintings of cakes and other delicious desserts, focusing on form, value, color, and shadows inspired by Thiebaud’s distinctive style. Students will also learn how to mix colors with a color wheel.

Tween & Teen Scene Camp #2: Block Party!
June 22-26, 2026, M-F, 10AM-3PM
Enrollment Fees: Tuition is $225 (art supplies included!)
Ages: 11-14
Camp Capacity: 15 Students per class
Carving, cutting, pressing, layering, repeating, filling, adding, subtracting and more techniques are introduced in this action-packed week as campers delve into the design and production of mosaics and printmaking.
Putting it all Together: Mosaics (M-F, 10AM-12PM)
Campers will learn about the history of mosaic art and then design and construct their own creations from glass, tiles, and pebbles.

What a Relief!: Relief Printmaking (M-F, 1PM-3PM)
This workshop explores linoleum relief printing (linocuts) as well as paper collagraph printing. Students will have the opportunity to engage in surface manipulation using additive and subtractive methods of printing. These versatile printmaking methods are sure to inspire new ways of rendering and abstracting subjects in their art now and for years to come.

Tween & Teen Scene Camp #3: Towers & Flowers
July 27-31, 2026, M-F, 10AM-3PM
Enrollment Fees: Tuition is $225 (art supplies included!)
Ages: 11-14
Camp Capacity: 15 Students per class
World heritage sites, iconic architecture, and paintings by an American master set the course for this week’s creative quest.
Building on Legacy (M-F, 10AM-12PM)
Campers will create sculptures inspired by the great works of architecture and monuments from around the world, utilizing a range of mediums including found objects and recycled materials.

Botanical Art (M-F, 1PM-3PM)
Students will study botanical art through the lens of Georgia O’Keeffe’s flower paintings and create their own watercolor paintings emphasizing close-up composition, color, and detail.

Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available for IAC Summer Art Adventures camps. Scholarships are awarded for one camp per recipient.
The deadline for priority consideration of scholarship applications for the 2026 Summer KidsArts program is May 11, 2026 (postmarked, hand-delivered or by email). Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and will be made based on availability. The last day to receive applictions is July 6, 2026.

$1.50 Box Office fee
Merchandise is non-refundable
Prior to June 1, 100% registration refund
After May 31 and up to the Friday before the camp start date, 50% registration refund
No refunds are possible any time after the Friday before camp start date.
