Art Connection Members Show Receptions & Awards Ceremony

A free gallery reception and awards ceremony will be held November 2 from 2-4PM for the 25th Annual Art Connection Members Show.  Awards will be given in three categories (Youth, Nonprofessional and Professional) as well as an overall Best of Show.

A reception will be held at the same time for the Winners’ Exhibit: Art Connection 2024 on display in the Focus Gallery.

ABOUT THE 25th ANNUAL ART CONNECTION MEMBERS SHOW
Since 2001, each summer Irving Arts Center has held a non-juried exhibition featuring art created by our Art Connection members. During this show, artwork by students and professional and non-professional artists hangs side by side in the beautiful Main Gallery and the adjoining Focus Gallery. Existing and new Art Connection members are invited to submit up to two works of art.

ABOUT THE WINNER’S EXHIBIT: ART CONNECTION 2024 SHOW From September 20-November 22 in the Focus Gallery, new work by Art Connection members who received the  top awards in the Non-Professional and Professional categories in the 2024 Members’ Show will be on display. Featured artists are Jack Hein (2024 Best of Show), Rachel Black (1^st Place, Professional, 2024), Jonathan Fontenot (2^nd Place, Professional, 2024), Erin Newton (3^rd Place, Professional, 2024), Jason Thing (1^st Place, Non-Professional, 2024), Erica Sutherland (2^nd Place, Non-Professional, 2024), Denise Holguin (3^rd Place, Non-Professional, 2024), Lucas Latimer (Special Recognition, Non-Professional, 2024), Regina Wypych (Thematic Challenge, Professional, 2024) and Jim Bush (Thematic Challenge, Non-Professional, 2024).

Gallery Hours: Tues-Sat from noon to 5PM
Irving Arts Center’s galleries are open for viewing free of charge during regular gallery hours Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 PM.
