Exhibition History and Background:
Since 2001, each summer Irving Arts Center has held a non-juried exhibition featuring art created by our Art Connection members. During this show, artwork by students and professional and non-professional artists hangs side by side in the beautiful Main Gallery and the adjoining Courtyard Gallery. Existing and new Art Connection members are invited to submit up to two works of art. Awards will be given in three categories (Youth, Nonprofessional and Professional) as well as an overall Best of Show.

2026 Theme/Design Challenge – “We Are America @ 250”
The 2026 thematic challenge is “We Are America @ 250” commemorating the 250^th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. All of us are part of the vibrant, dynamic, and complex mosaic that is America in 2026.  Members who wish to enter the thematic challenge are invited to submit artwork that explores local and national identity.
