The Texas & Neighbors Exhibition is an annual collaboration between the Irving Art Association and Irving Arts Center. In 2022 we are celebrating its 37th year. Artists from Texas and neighboring states (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma) are invited to compete. The Juror for 2022 will be Billy Hassell, Texas artist. A total of $9,000 in awards will be given across eight media categories: Printmaking (new this year!), Oil Painting, Acrylics, Water Media, Mixed Media / Other Media (2D), Drawing (Dry Media), Photography, and Sculpture / 3D.
Awards Ceremony & Reception: May 15, 2 – 5 p.m.
A reception for this exhibition will be held from 3-5PM. The Texas and Neighbors Awards Ceremony will also be live streamed by the Arts Center beginning at 3 PM for those unable to attend in person.
Gallery Hours: Tues-Sat from noon to 5PM
Irving Arts Center’s galleries are open for viewing free of charge during regular gallery hours Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 PM.
