Galleries are free and open to the public Tues.-Sat. noon to 5 pm
This exhibition celebrates several decades of work by the late Colombian American artist Mariella Cadena Angel, who left behind a vibrant, thought-provoking collection of abstract works that have never before been exhibited.
Mariella was diagnosed with an aggressive, metastatic breast tumor at 40 and against all odds, lived to be 63. Her portfolio evolved into a visual art diary that illuminates hope and resilience and tells of her journey and her confrontations with metastatic breast cancer. Mariella’s works are handmade digital paintings on paper, acrylic and include watercolor and mixed media creations.
Mariella Cadena Angel’s first public exhibition fulfills the Colombian artist’s wish to share her work after her passing. The electronic canvas served as her private haven – a space of creative freedom with the power to immortalize her vision and spark change.

An opening reception for the exhibition will be held on Saturday, October 24 from 6-8 PM.
